For the third year running, Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is on the lookout for community stars as it seeks nominations for its Marvels of Mid Awards (MOMAs).
At its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 27 September 2018, the CCG will celebrate local people or organisations from Braintree, Maldon and Chelmsford who have made a positive impact on the wellbeing of local community by helping them to Live Well.
Mid Essex CCG Accountable Officer, Caroline Rassell, said: “The awards are now in their third year and I am always amazed at the number of local people and projects that go the extra mile to help others live well and stay well by taking care of their physical and mental health.
“This year is particularly special because we also celebrate 70 years of the NHS and want to say a huge thanks to staff, patients, volunteers and everyone in the local community for supporting the NHS over the years and helping it to develop and adapt for the future.
“It’s only by voting for your community heroes that we can give them the recognition they never seek, but really deserve – so please get involved and make the MOMA’s great again this year.”
Nominations can be for someone at your local GP practice, pharmacy or medical centre that always helps you, someone who regularly looks in on neighbours or volunteers at a local group. This year, there is also a new category to acknowledge those ‘Unsung Heroes’ who are inspiring, generous and go above and beyond the call of duty.
