Health in Mind (Mid Essex IAPT) receives prestigious award of accreditation after being recognised nationally as a high-quality service.

The free, confidential NHS mental health service, which is available to residents aged 17 and over, has been accredited in the Accreditation Programme for Psychological Therapy Services (APPTS) by the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Combined Committee for Accreditation.

Patrick Larsson, Deputy Clinical Lead for Health in Mind, said: “We are delighted with the accreditations. It reflects the hard work and commitment from the team to provide a robust and high quality service for our service users.”

He added: “The rigorous accreditation process lasted six month and we were asked to provide various pieces of evidence for the service we provide including direct feedback from people who have used our service.”

At the end of the successful accreditation process the service was commended on consistently meeting or exceeding both recovery and reliable improvement rates and the continuing momentum with service user involvement and participation.
