Being a parent is a wonderful and rewarding experience and we want to help you enjoy parenting your new child and to support you during times when you may need extra help or advice.

If parents are confident they are doing all they can to make sure their children are safe, well-nourished, play and learn actively and create opportunities which build social and emotional confidence, they can rest assured that they are doing all they can to lay the path for a happy and positive future.

As well as general wellbeing we want to support parents and those looking after young children to understand when the right time is to chat to your school nurse, visit a local community pharmacist, GP or to call NHS 111.

Our award-winning childhood illness workshops run throughout the year and provide mums, dads, and grandparents advice about common childhood ailments. Run by local GP’s and community pharmacists the interactive workshop will walk you through common scenarios and provide practical advice on what to do and when.

These events have been extremely well received with 100% of those who attended saying they would recommend to other parents.

Feedback has included:

“Interactive and relaxed, opportunity to ask questions to a range of professionals”

“It was great that the workshop was interactive. The professionals were very human”

“Excellent opportunity to hear from a GP, Pharmacist and 111 staff about services they provide and the scenarios that could trigger their support”
