Individuals with Learning Disabilities

Within the Mid and South Essex STP, Castle Point and Rochford CCG lead on LD services on behalf of Mid Essex CCG. The Transforming Care Partnership is in place across Essex social care and health services and is supporting Mid Essex CCG with local place plans. These plans identify how Mid Essex CCG will use resources locally and personalisation is one of the areas the team are looking at expanding into 2020/21. All CYP who are awarded NHS funded Continuing Care, including those with a learning disability, will be offered a personal health budget to support their needs holistically.

Further activities to facilitate expansion

Mid Essex CCG will continue to work with their providers, commissioners and people to scope services and individuals for who PHBs would add value. Through this process there will be changes where necessary to offer personalised services through virtual/ notional, direct payments and third party budgets.
