Did you know you can get involved in developing and improving health services in mid Essex?
We aspire to be a CCG that involves you in everything we do.
Not only do we have a duty under the NHS Constitution to involve mid Essex residents in planning and buying your NHS services, it is important to us that we hear from you as we develop our plans for future healthcare.
To seek your input, we listen to you on a regular basis, ask for your experiences and feedback and continue to work alongside you to make sure local NHS services are the best they can be.
Your involvement is invaluable to us and there are lots of ways to participate in decision-making and have your say.
Join your local Patient Participation Group
Patient participation groups (PPGs) are made up of patients from an individual GP practice who meet on a regular basis. These group of volunteer patients aim to make sure their practice puts patients and improving their community's health at the heart of everything it does. Find out more. Find out more.
Our new Locality Reference Groups
The first meetings of community representatives in Braintree District, Chelmsford City and Maldon District to discuss healthcare plans and concerns in their areas take place this spring. You can share views with people who attend the meetings or even join one of the groups invited so you can attend yourself. Their key goal is to ensure patient voice plays a key role in our decision-making. Find out more.
Patient Reference Group
Until the end of 2018, our prinicpal way of hearing from mid Essex patients was through our Parent Reference Group (PRG), made up of patient champions who met every two months to discuss CCG plans and raise issues. There were some real strengths in this group, but members agreed a more locally-focused approach might be helpful, leading to the formation of the Locality Reference Groups mentioned above. Meeting papers for the PRG can still be found on this site here.
Sign up to our Live Well Network
Our Live Well Network is a virtual group of patients, public and voluntary groups who are interested in getting more involved in how services are planned and designed but would prefer to stay at an arm’s length.
Join the conversation on social media
Social media provides a quick and easy route to ask questions and to find out up-to-date news and information. We often run campaigns where we are asking for your views about new or existing services or asking for feedback about your experiences.
Tell us your story
One way that you can get involved is by taking part in our ‘Patient Story Programme’ and telling us about an account of an event or episode of care that you’ve experienced. Find out more.
Check how we're engaging with you
Some of the ways we've engaged with you over the 2018/19 financial year are recorded in our Engagement Log, which you can view here:
