Provide’s Essex Lifestyle Service (ELS) aims to empower the people of Essex to make healthy lifestyle choices, and live healthier lives. They will listen to you, discuss your needs and then offer you up to date and evidence-based help and support, to enable you to make changes to your current lifestyle.
You are more likely to succeed if you make a plan and get support from one of the Lifestyle Services trained practicioners . They can help you:
- Stopping smoking (smoking remains the nations’s highest cause of preventable and premature death – you are four times more likely to succeed with our support)
- Healthy eating
- Alcohol consumption
- Increasing physical activity
- Long term conditions
- Emotional issues such as stress, depression and loneliness
Every person will receive a bespoke support package, which will ensure their needs are met. This package may consist of a referral to a local community service or one-to-one intensive support with an Lifestyle advisor conducted either face to face, by phone or email.
Essex Lifestyle practitioners are available at Chelmsford Library, WJC Birth Centre, Burnham clinic, Witham Library, Whitley House Surgery, North Chelmsford Health Centre, Baddow Village Surgery, Braintree Community Centre and St Michaels Health Centre.
