Twelve Days of Christmas Care – on the eighth day, mental health support over the holidays

As part of NHS Mid Essex CCG’s 12 Days of Christmas Care campaign, today we’re highlighting how to access mental health support over the holidays.

Twelve days of Christmas care

For many people, Christmas may not be ‘the most wonderful time of the year’. Feelings of loneliness, isolation and stress can sometimes overwhelm the festivities.

If you can offer support in any way to someone who may find the Christmas and New Year period difficult, please make that kind gesture. No matter how small, a show of support can make a huge difference.

There are many organisations running helplines over the bank holidays, many of them open 24 hours a day:

Samaritans
