Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has been named a finalist in a prestigious national ceremony.
Along with 10 others, the CCG has made the shortlist for the HSJ CCG of the Year 2016 Award. Each year, the Health Service Journal (HSJ) runs the largest celebration of excellence in UK healthcare, highlighting the most innovative and successful people and projects in the sector.
The CCG of the Year Award recognises organisations that capitalise on opportunities in healthcare and overcome significant challenges. Mid Essex CCG’s shortlisting highlights its achievements over the past year including the development of the ‘Live Well’ model to bring care closer to people’s communities, reaching financial balance and successful engagement with local patients and residents.
All shortlisted organisations will go on to complete presentations and interviews to a specific judging panel made up of senior and influential figures from the health sector.
Caroline Rassell, Accountable Officer for Mid Essex CCG, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the CCG of the Year Award. Our staff should be extremely proud of all their hard work.
“This shortlisting recognises the pioneering work we have been carrying out in mid Essex and in partnership with our neighbouring CCGs to improve the way healthcare is delivered locally and help our population to live well.”
The award winners will be announced on the 23rd November 2016 at the HSJ ceremony held at the InterContinental 02 in London.
