Forget the X Factor! Do you know someone with the community factor?

Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are looking to celebrate people with the community factor in their first ever Marvels of Mid Awards (MOMA), on the 29 September 2016 at their Annual General Meeting (AGM).

There are six categories that people in mid Essex can enter their health, care, community and voluntary heroes into. The six categories are all quite different, offering anyone who goes above and beyond to help colleagues, friends, neighbours or people in their community a chance to be recognised. The categories available are:

Primary Care Award – Who’s your star working in GP surgeries, clinic, or pharmacy?

Volunteer of the Year – Do you know a local individual who is an outstanding volunteer?

Celebrating Diversity Award – Has somebody positively changed culture or improved access for hard to reach communities and services for patients?

Individual Patient Participant of the Year - Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond to help the CCG?

Patient Participation Group (PPG) of the Year - Which PPG do you think has an excellent working relationship with their practice and has made a real difference to patients?

The Mid Essex Live Well Award - An individual or team in mid Essex who has made an exceptional contribution to helping mid Essex Live Well.

Mid Essex CCG Manager Director, Carol Anderson, said “We really want to celebrate and recognise people who go above and beyond to support and help people in their communities to stay well – both physically and mentally.

It could be a member of staff at your local practice that always helps you or it could be someone who helps look in on neighbours or volunteers at a local group.

It’s only by people voting for their community heroes that we can give recognition – so please vote and spread the community factor in mid Essex.”

The deadline for nominations is lunchtime (12:00pm) on Friday 9 September 2016.

Nominations can be made by clicking here or by contacting the CCG on 01376 531145 to request a nomination form.

Nominees will all be invited to an awards ceremony at the Mid Essex CCG Annual General Meeting on 29 September, when the winners will be announced.
